CYSSDE is a European project focused on improving cybersecurity for Essential Service Operators and SMEs. It addresses known vulnerabilities and helps organizations comply with the NIS2 directive. The project does this by organizing open calls to support Member States, developing methods and scenarios for cybersecurity, and coordinating with national cybersecurity centers to enhance pen-testing capabilities across Europe.
The Pen Testing Open Calls (one in 2024-2025 and another in 2025-2026) are set up to support the deployment of capacity for organisations that would require cybersecurity assessments for compliance (such as NIS/NIS2, CER, CRA, MDR, DORA or ISO27k and related), or just for companies intending to further mature and harden their Cybersecurity. The Open Calls will co-fund up to 200.000 EUR and address the Pen Testing organisations.
These could be Micro Enterprises (MEs), Small and Medium sized companies, research organisations (including academic or public research centers), public institutions and / or large organisations in Europe. Mainly smaller companies are being addressed with this call.
The call opens on January 7th, 2025 at 10 AM Brussels time (CET) and will run until April 7th, 2025 at 5 PM Brussels time (CET) and is addressed to Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment organisations.
