An EU consortium is preparing a proposal under the topic HORIZON-CL5-2022-D3-01-07, with the title: “Integrated demonstration of safe and cost-effective membrane intensified CCU processes from a cluster of CO2 emitting coal-fired power, cement, steel and oil-refinery industries in Southeastern Europe (MEM-CCU)”. Within the proposal, the consortium will seek to establish a “virtual CCU industrial park”, in areas with a sufficient concentration of CO2 emitting industries are considered prime sites for hub and cluster developments, and are expected to generate the highest impact on full-scale deployment of the results”.
The consortium is looking for partners from Italy, Bulgaria and/or Romania, who are heavy CO2 emitters, for the CO2 capturing process, so that the consortium can demonstrate how the captured CO2 will be utilised and/or stored in a sustainable way. Specifically we are looking for industrial partners from the aforementioned countries, which are either cement companies or national electrical companies.
