Turkish consortium is looking for partners for HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-09

The purpose of the project is to create an environment where entrepreneurs can thrive and entrepreneurship is rewarded. In this context, the client seeks to support entrepreneurs working in the field of decarbonizing mobility with acceleration programs, mentoring, workshops, and commercialization, and contribute to the development of the mobility sector with a skilled workforce.

1) Pre-incubation and Incubation Services: Entrepreneurs will be supported through the client’s incubation center, which offers 24/7 support including pre-incubation and incubation services, acceleration programs, sales follow-up management, training, financial and legal consultancy, patent consultancy, mentoring, and access to open and closed workspaces with unlimited internet and electricity.

2) Venture Capital Access: Entrepreneurs can utilize the client’s Venture Capital Investment Fund Management, established in partnership with investment sizes ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000. The client can assist startups in the commercialization process by providing access to market insights and potential investors and facilitating B2B meetings and demo days to connect entrepreneurs with industry leaders and potential customers.

3) Join the Mobility Cluster: New Entrepreneurs from partner countries will have the chance to join the client’s Mobility Cluster’s facilities, focusing on electrical, autonomous, and sustainable mobility solutions. This cluster integrates expertise from the public and private sectors, including large companies, SMEs, universities, government institutions, NGOs, vehicle and component manufacturers, OEMs, and research and testing centers.

4) Partners can participate in mobility workshops open to all stakeholders: The client can organize workshops and mentoring sessions led by industry experts to share knowledge and best practices and focus on reducing emissions and enhancing the impact of sustainable mobility solutions.

5) Mobility Acceleration Programs: These support Türkiye’s entrepreneurs in developing mobility technologies. This program includes seminars, mentor meetings, national and international mobility industry meetings, and working group sessions, and is organized twice a year. The client can conduct acceleration programs tailored for startups focusing on decarbonizing mobility and provide intensive mentorship and guidance to help startups scale their innovations.

6) Community Building and Networking: The client organizes technology-focused hackathons, workshops, investor meetings, demo days, and strategic events to support tech and deep tech entrepreneurs. These events foster community and collaboration, enabling collective progress by ensuring effective communication of insights and innovations among various stakeholders in the ecosystem. The client can host events, hackathons, and conferences to foster a community of innovators and stakeholders in the mobility sector and encourage the exchange of ideas and collaboration among various players in the ecosystem.

7) Regulatory and Policy Advocacy: The client has a strong relationship with stakeholders. The client takes an active role by presenting project findings and recommendations to policymakers and industry leaders. This approach not only shapes future strategies and policies but also contributes to wider societal and economic progress.

Advantages and innovations

The project’s innovative approach, comprehensive ecosystem for innovation, access to high-quality infrastructure, access to venture capital and new markets, extensive networking opportunities, hands-on training, and participation in advanced accelerator programs collectively position the client as a pivotal player in driving innovation, collaboration, and growth across multiple technological domains.

Moreover, the client quickly recognizes the needs of technology companies and provides solutions with strong stakeholders such as the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), various chambers of commerce, and industry and universities. The client will take an active role by presenting project findings and recommendations to policymakers and industry leaders.

In terms of Innovation, the client is committed to constructing and operating ecosystems with high-capacity infrastructure and supporting high-tech entrepreneurs with its more than 600+ Companies. The client can promote research and development in innovative, connected, hybrid transportation networks, and autonomous mobility technologies and collaborate with research centers and universities to advance scientific knowledge in the field. Moreover, the client can work on policy advocacy to align with the European Union’s long-term goals for zero fatalities and serious injuries by 2050 and can engage with policymakers to create a favorable regulatory environment for the adoption of new mobility technologies.

Expected role of the partner

The client aims to collaborate with experienced project coordinators in the mobility field. The client actively contributes to the project results with its cluster facilities, which the client will present and recommend to Turkish policymakers and industry leaders. This approach not only shapes future strategies and policies but also contributes to wider societal and economic progress.

They would like to be a partner with experienced labor market actors, non-governmental organizations, and universities from program countries focusing mainly on the field of mobility. In line with the objectives of the call, the client will boost the following contributions as well. The project seeks the specifications that will also contribute to the following:

  • Support entrepreneurs working in the field of decarbonizing mobility with acceleration programs, mentoring, workshops, commercialization, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of the mobility sector with a skilled workforce.
  • Develop more effective ways to reduce emissions and their impacts by expanding scientific knowledge.
  • Accelerate the implementation of innovative, connected, hybrid transportation networks and autonomous mobility technologies and systems for freight and passenger transportation.
  • Ensure the development of multimodal transport systems through sustainable, smart long-distance and urban freight transport and improved physical and digital infrastructure for smart vehicles.
  • Work on the studies of the European Union’s long-term goal of zero fatalities and serious injuries by 2050.
