On this page you find information on the selection procedure for projects applying under the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) financing programme.

Status: Open
Budget: between 120,000 and 1 million EUR per project
Submission:
12 January 2022

General Information

As part of the annual EU-wide selection procedure, organisations are selected that put forward promising ideas for climate action in Europe. The projects are selected in two rounds.

1st Stage | Preparing a project outline

For the first stage in the procedure, informative project outlines should be prepared in English, indicating the issue to be addressed, project goals and planned measures. These must be submitted by the deadline using only the online application tool on the EUKI website. All project outlines received in full by the deadline will be evaluated. On the basis of the available budget and the selection criteria defined in the information on financing, applicants with promising project outlines will then be asked to develop and submit a full project proposal.

The link for the submission of project outlines as well as important information and guidelines for the first round of the selection procedure will be published by 23 November 2021 in the box to the top right.

2nd Stage | Preparing a project proposal

Organisations on the shortlist will then be asked in writing to submit a full project proposal (second stage in the procedure). This proposal must be submitted within approximately four to six weeks.

Information sessions on proposal development will be offered to the organisations selected. It is provisionally scheduled to take place in June 2022.

Incomplete project applications – including applications without English translations – can result in exclusion from the selection procedure and thus from any project funding.

Projects which are not selected for financing will be notified in writing.

Please find templates and helpful documents for the second round of the selection procedure in the box to the bottom right.
