Want to start your own nonprofit or socially responsible small business?
Have a brilliant idea for how to end homelessness, train job seekers, or help small businesses go green? Got talent; need money, technology, and mentorship?
To generate innovative strategies and solve problems in underserved communities, SAP and Ashoka have created a global competition, „The Power of Small: Entrepreneurs Strengthening Local Economies.”
They want to encourage entrepreneurs and small businesses to grow and thrive as well as create positive social change in these areas:
- Economic development
- Green business
- Poverty alleviation
- Labor
- Vulnerable populations
Winners will receive $10,000 cash, technology, and networking and promotion opportunities.
Enter or nominate an idea before the deadline of September 5, 2012.
All finalists will be invited to the Sapphire Now conference in November in Madrid, Spain, where the four competition winners will be announced.
